Rainerian spring and Jappellian temple

Raineriana Spring, named after Archduke Ranieri of Austria who had a small temple built in 1829 in the neoclassical style, by Giuseppe Jappelli, to celebrate the therapeutic virtues of these waters. The spring almost completely dried up, but as you approach the small temple you can still smell the characteristic unpleasant odor of the sulfur-rich thermal water.
