House from the 1500s, which belonged in the 800s to the historian and epigraphist Carlo Leoni, the one who financially supported the restoration activities of Petrarch's sarcophagus, which was opened in1848. In 1915 it was bought by Attilio Mentasti, who enlarged it and gave it a neo-Gothic look in the windows. It has two entrances, one onvia Ventolone and one on via Roma from which you can see the access staircase, adorned with cactus, caper and aloe plants.
